By Heath Evans 3:40PM Thursday 8 December 2011

In 2012, as part of Open Universities Australia's (OUA) continuing partnership with the AFL Players' Association, OUA will once again be offering Learning for Life Scholarships to five AFL footballers who have been retired for three or more years.

OUA is the national leader in online education, offering over 1400 units and 170 courses from over 20 leading Australian universities and higher education providers. It's the ideal way to secure your future outside of football.

Each scholarship winner will be awarded one unit of study through OUA to be completed in 2012. As part of the application process you will be asked to nominate your unit of study. You can check all available units and courses at http://www.open.edu.au

Alternatively, you might like to call one of our specialist enrolment advisors on 1300 513 044.  Be sure to quote the special AFL Players’ Association Client Code: AF1091109001.

Applications for the OUA Learning for Life Scholarships are open now and close on 9 January 2012. To apply, simply complete the scholarship application form.

Please read the application form carefully and feel free to contact Rhys James at OUA on 03) 8628 2525 if you have any further queries about the scholarships.
