Matthew Liptak joins Past Player Advisory Board

The AFL Players’ Association is pleased to announce that former Adelaide Crow Matthew Liptak has been appointed as a member of the AFLPA’s Past Player Membership Advisory Board.
Liptak joins six other former VFL / AFL players and one independent member appointed to the Board.
The AFLPA has ambitious plans to provide a range of services and benefits in support of past players. The Past Player Advisory Board has been formed to guide the strategic direction which we take in this important area.
Matthew Liptak
The practicing Orthopedic Surgeon recently accepted an invitation to join the Past Player Adviosry Board. Matthew brings significant medical and football industry experience (116 games with the Adelaide Crows) to the Board.
Barry Capuano
Played over 118 games with Essendon and is heavily involved with the Essendon Past Players Club group.
James Clement
(pictured above with former Magpie team mates Nick Maxwell & Scott Burns) Former player with Fremantle and Collingwood, playing 230 AFL games. James is now an Investment Advisor with JM Equities and resides in Melbourne
Jeff Clifton
Played 111 games with Collingwood and Fitzroy collectively, Jeff is Director and a Founding member of the Clifton Property Group and resides in Melbourne.
Frank Goode
Played 73 games for North Melbourne, has managed his own company and is heavily involved at North Melbourne Past Players. Frank resides in Melbourne
Mike Perry
Played 53 games for Richmond and is the President of the Richmond Past Players Committee. Mike resides in Melbourne.
Brad Wira
(pictured above) The former Western Bulldog and Fremantle Docker played 96 AFL games. Brad works as an Advisor with Gannon Growden and Schonell, a financial services firm providing financial planning, superannuation and risk management advice and resides in Western Australia.
Independent appointment
Marcus Kennedy
Has worked worldwide in roles from Geophysicist / Financial Analyst and more recently as Senior Commercial Executive in strategy, innovation and change management across the health, finance and education sectors. Marcus also holds a position on the Advisory Boards for Global Strategy and Alumni of the London Business School and resides in Melbourne.
