On Friday the 5th of December, the AFL Players' Association will host the second annual Madden Medal awards, paying tribute to the achievements of AFL players that have ended their careers in season 2008.

The following awards will be presented on the day to players departing our great game:

The Football Achievement Award

Received by Nathan Buckley and James Hird in 2007.

The Personal Development Award

Received by James Hird in 2007

The Community Spirit Award

Received by Paul Licuria in 2007

Fittingly, the player who has demonstrated excellence in in all three of these categories, and who has achieved the mark of a champion, will be awarded the Madden Medal.

Named in honour of the contributions of two former premiership players and AFLPA presidents, Simon and Justin Madden, this will be the ultimate prize and celebration for those to have left an indelible mark on our great game.

A perfect way to complete the year with clients and staff, make sure you reserve your table quickly to witness the naming of the Madden Medallist for 2008.
